We are so overjoyed to finally share these two! The Haistens are married!! Get ready for a super long post with lots of pictures because just look at them!.. Dabney and Payton are two incredibly wonderful people with equally amazing families and friends! So much love went into their special day and you can see how much everyone adores them.. Here's to you, The Haistens!
Dabney and Payton's story began on a 'July 4th'. Payton headed to Guntersville because he knew she would be there.. and it all started on a swing: the meeting, the initial "asking out", the proposal, and even on their wedding day!
At their rehearsal dinner, we listened to their friends and family tell stories about them and how they both called their friends and said "I met someone... and I really like them!". Dabney even told her friends that same night, "I'm going to marry Payton!". They were meant to be from the beginning!
Their wedding day began with the girls at Tangerine Salon and the guys at a local fish camp. After hair and makeup were done we headed to Dabney's mom's house where she stepped into her dress! Absolutely gorgeous..! Next we headed outside to the lake to capture bridals and the bridesmaids. The boys then arrived to the house and it was time for their first look. Dabney stepped onto the front porch and tapped Payton's shoulder.. tears.. hugs...Payton in complete awe at his selfless, beautiful, sweet Dabney! They both exchanged gifts: Payton gave Dabney a bible with her new name written on the cover, and Dabney gave Payton her journal entries from when they first started dating! She also shared something she wrote years ago: Traits of a husband.. and Payton is exactly those things and more! Lastly, she gave him their wedding song lyrics written out to be hung. So thoughtful and sweet!
After pictures we all headed to First Baptist Church to get ready for the ceremony. It was a beautiful church inside and outside with a lovely ceremony to officially exchange vows and promise forever! Next we were off to the lake front reception! The band played under huge white tents as the guests enjoyed the sunset on the water. It was so beautiful and unlike any venue we've seen! They all danced and danced until it was time to say farewell! We lined up outside and tossed rose petals as Dabney + Payton headed off to their honeymoon!!
